Morgan is a RYT-500 and a certified trauma sensitive yoga facilitator (TCTSY-F).  Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based adjunctive therapy for treatment-resistant complex trauma and complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The TCTSY methodology has been developed in the United States and is utilized with youth and adults all around the world. The model is rooted in hatha yoga, (a practice that involves body and breath-based movement) neuroscience, trauma theory, attachment theory, and has been developed through years of research and feedback from survivors. Through Morgan’s background in athletics, hatha yoga, and TCTSY, her top intention is to create an inclusive, empowering, and respectful environment in which folks are offered the space, and the choice, to safely engage in self-exploration. The yoga practice is always an invitation and individuals are welcome to implement different yoga forms, at any time. Morgan has a passion for deepening her understanding of human suffering, the intricate complexities that make up our shared humanity, the human anatomy as a whole; and its capability to heal itself. She is honored to work beside individuals as they perhaps reconnect with empowerment, health, and their inner-peace. Likewise, she is enlivened by the opportunity to be present for others as they integrate forms of therapy, which are most useful for their unique experience, into daily life.

I began my journey with yoga in 2004 but it didn’t stick. Then in 2008, while I was pregnant with my son I found yoga again. However, it took a life changing event and a big move before I was able to slow down enough to start my true practice in 2012.
For me Yoga has been immensely healing. It introduced me to my breath, allowed me to go within and enabled a deep growing connection to my true self and Source. Leading me to get attuned in Reiki (Master Level) in 2013. As well as acquiring both a 200 hour (2015) and 300 (2018) hour yoga training certifications from Om My Yoga Academy, along with an
Aerial Yoga Certification.
Embracing both the physical and spiritual aspects of Yoga,  I fully (in)joy teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Slow Flow, Restorative and especially Aerial Yoga along with meditation and breath-work.
I believe that Yoga is a way of choosing to live life, daily, minute by minute, breath by breath from the inside out. I know from experience that through Yoga we are able to tap into our inner power. In doing so, we can transform and heal not only ourselves but also the world around us.
It starts with each one of us both on and off the mat.

Michelle’s personal yoga journey began as a physically-focused practice in Baptiste Power Yoga in 2015.  As life continued to unfold through personal life transitions and a chaotic hospitality career, she searched to deepen her practice.  She turned to a variety of mindfulness, spiritual awareness, and self-care books and podcasts before finding her new yoga hOMe at Om My Yoga in early 2018.

The mind, body, spirit connection cultivated on her mat at Om’s studio was unlike anything she’d experienced.  She swiftly signed up and completed her 200-HR Teacher Training at Om My Yoga Academy in March 2019 and has been teaching at Om as a substitute for mat classes since fall 2019.  Michelle also has her Certificate in Yin Yoga and continues to actively pursue her 500-HR Teacher Training Certificate.

With an eternal student mentality, Michelle offers a welcoming and humbling environment full of compassionate space for each student to experience the practice they personally need in that moment.  Her traditional Vinyasa mat classes incorporate mindful movements, focus on breathe work, and time for meditation.  It is her greatest honor to be able to share the healing gift of yoga – she cannot wait to practice with you!

Please come and try my class even if you’ve never taken yoga before. My focus is on spine health and I promise I will not try to make you into a pretzel or make you stand on your head. There’s a lot of stretching and contraction of your muscles during each pose. If you can get down on the floor and get back up then you can take my class. Please come and make my first class a success! If you have ever had a back ache then you need this class! Meet you on the mat.

When Jessica found Yoga more than 20 years ago, she could not touch her toes. Since graduating the om my yoga academy in 2019, her dynamic vinyasa classes meet each student where they are to help each find the resulting improvements in strength, balance and flexibility that come from asana practice; and the serenity of mind and spirit arising from moving meditation.
